Once I had arrived in Bree-town, I hurried over to the Prancing Pony where I was to ask the tavern-keep, Barliman Butterbur, about the whereabouts of this Strider fellow. Before I climbed the steps however, I took a quick look around the square. There were many people gathered who were engaged in conversations of various sorts. As I watched a few of them walk by, I felt somewhat lonely being in a place with so many, yet having no one who walked with me.
Best not to dwell on it for now, I suppose. I must be off, but until we meet again, take care!
